
DVC PRI Prof. Peter Bukhala Pays Courtesy Call to School of Medicine
The Deputy Vice Chancellor for Planning, Research and Innovation (PRI), Prof. Peter Bukhala, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the School of Medicine at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) where he engaged with staff led by the Associate Dean, Dr. Erick Anyira.
During the productive meeting, Prof. Bukhala and the School of Medicine team deliberated on critical matters concerning research initiatives and grant opportunities available to medical researchers at the institution.
“Research excellence is at the core of our university’s mission,” remarked Prof. Bukhala during the discussions. “The School of Medicine has tremendous potential to conduct groundbreaking medical research that can address pressing healthcare challenges in our region and beyond.”
Dr. Anyira expressed appreciation for the visit and highlighted several ongoing research projects within the School of Medicine, emphasizing the faculty’s commitment to expanding their research portfolio and securing additional external funding.
